In summer one can make excursions to the refuges at high altitude, vie ferrate as the high route Bepi Zac, which offer unforgettable experiences, you can go fishing, look for mushrooms in the woods next to the refuge, ride a bike in the very beautiful hollows of Fuchiade.

Destination of skiers and people keen on tranquillity, the zone is in the centre of the ski area that connects the Veneto region to the Trentine province and not far away there is a cross-country skiing ring. For non-skiers there is the possibility to go for marvellous walks in straight contact with nature. Free coaches to get to the neighbouring villages.

The Bergvagabundenhütte refuge is on the Costabella peak and can be easily reached in two hours' walk from the San Pellegrino pass and in four and a half hours' walk from Pozza di Fassa. It is the base departure for the high route Bepi Zac and the point of passage from which one can get to the Taramelli and Valaccia refuges. There is the opportunity of overnight stay and simple and homely cooking.

Where there is now the Bergvagabundenhütte run by the Pellegrin family, there was the Austrian-Italian line. The owner, fond of history concerning the 1st World War collects numerous historical pictures and finds. A historical museum of great interest has been planned.
